How much resources are spent, when I ride my bike to school in the morning? Why are the old clothes of my brothers and sisters more trendy than new jeans? Are you ready to team up for new ideas of a more sustainable future? »TeamS« (in German "Ideenwettbewerb für zukunftsfähige Lebensstile") is an idea competition for school groups at the age of 13 to 20. The competition is targeting schools in North Rhine Westphalia (NRW), Germany, but schools located also elsewhere are welcome to join. Within one lesson the registered teams will learn about the environmental impacts of daily choices in for example living, eating and shopping. In the subsequent competition the students are asked to be as creative and as inventive as possible. The teams will show that they have understood the concept of sustainability and they can invent ideas on how to re-create their own lifestyle. Saved resources will be measured and the teams can compare themselves to others in an online web platform. The more innovative the students and their ideas are, the better their chance to win a TeamS-Award. The registration phase for the first round of »TeamS« is over now.
